Our Materials
Pre-Recycled Metals
At Amberta, we use 925 Sterling Silver, recycled Stainless Steel, Brass, and 9ct/14ct Gold in our products. These materials come from certified, reputable suppliers primarily based in the EU, Thailand, India, and China, all of whom adhere to sustainability standards for responsible sourcing.
Many of our jewellery suppliers hold certifications from leading organisations, including the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), The Higg Index, and the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which affirm their commitment to ethical practices and sustainability.
At Amberta, sustainability is defined by both our supply chain practices and daily operations. We actively map and verify material sources for greater transparency, reducing our carbon footprint through local sourcing. We conduct third-party audits for quality control. We carefully evaluate suppliers to ensure they align with our values of high quality, sustainability and responsible working conditions.
Lab Grown Diamonds
We use Lab-Grown Diamonds, certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI). Created in a controlled environment, these diamonds have the same genetic makeup as natural diamonds but with a significantly lower environmental impact and carbon footprint. This allows us to offer high-quality diamonds at a competitive price point.
At present, we choose Lab-Grown Diamonds over mined ones because they are manufactured in a lab, avoiding the environmental and social challenges associated with traditional natural diamond mining. If we decide to explore traditional natural diamonds in the future, we will ensure they comply with relevant industry certifications and are sourced from conflict-free and environmentally responsible origins.
Natural Stones
We use genuine, natural Freshwater Pearls, Mother of Pearl, and semi-precious gemstones in our jewellery, carefully sourced from trusted suppliers who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Synthetic Stones
When natural stones or lab-grown diamonds exceed our budget, we opt for premium synthetic alternatives such as Cubic Zirconia and glass crystal pearls. These carefully chosen substitutes enable us to uphold affordable options while offering the same luxurious appearance and quality as genuine stones.
Recycled Packaging
Our recyclable packaging is sourced from the UK and China, and we work with suppliers who use responsibly sourced materials that meet ethical working standards. We are actively exploring ways to reduce transport emissions and increase local production. Find out more about Our Packaging here.
